Originally from Seattle, Fleet Foxes attracted attention for their first self-title album (in 2008 on Sub Pop), with indie-folk compositions that are as complex as they are clear, and impressive vocal harmonies. While drummer Josh Tillman left the band to launch a solo career under the name Father John Misty, playing at the FEQ in 2013, Robin Pecknold’s troupe then set out in search of baroque pop that is lush and luminous.
