The Brooks

Formed in the early 2010s, The Brooks has established itself as a true groove machine, electrifying both on record and live. This supergroup brings together bassist Alexandre Lapointe, singer and trombonist Alan Prater, guitarist Philippe Look, and percussionist Philippe Beaudin. Blending funk, soul, r’n’b, afrobeat, and jazz, their music combines creativity, virtuosity, and the sheer joy of playing. With five albums to date, including the latest Soon As I Can (2024), The Brooks celebrates over 50 years of Afro-American musical evolution, honoring its roots while remaining firmly modern and vibrant.
