FULU MIZIKI KOLEKTIV, meaning “sound of the trash” in Lingala, is a music collective from Ngwaka, a district in Kinshasa, DRC. Defining themselves as Eco-Friendly-Afro-Futuristic-Punk, they craft a unique sound they call Twerkanda – an explosive fusion of afro disco-house and post-soukous.

What sets them apart? They design and play instruments made entirely from recycled materials, constantly pushing sonic boundaries. Through their avant-garde artistry and striking aesthetics, they deliver a message of artistic liberation and ecological awareness, proving that everything can be repurposed and reimagined.
