Formed in 2016, the Montreal-based band comment debord delivers groove-driven, laid-back rock with a strong lyrical focus. The seven-piece draws inspiration from 1970s music to create a distinctly Québécois sound that blends disco, funk, indie, and folk influences.Following comment debord (2020) and monde autour (2023), two albums praised by critics and embraced by audiences, the band earned multiple nominations at the 2024 ADISQ Gala (including Album of the Year – Critics’ Choice, Pop Album of the Year, and Song of the Year). They went on to win the FEQ Breakthrough Award in 2025 and performed at MTelus during the Francos de Montréal in a double bill with Bon Enfant.
