Carl Mayotte

Winner of the 2020-2021 Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation award, Carl Mayotte is one of the most in demand young bassists and jazzmen in Quebec and Canada at the moment.

Starting his professional career at the age of 16 and completing a master's degree in jazz performance at McGill University, his virtuosity and versatility have been noticed by several musicians and magazines, including Alain Caron and Bass Magazine. His third album, Escale, earned him a Félix award for Jazz Album of the Year in 2022. His fourth album released in 2023, Carnaval, is a tribute to Brazilian music.
