Sunny War

Sunny War’s Armageddon in a Summer Dress emerges from a period of disorientation, grief, and creative reinvention. After moving into her late father’s house and experiencing unsettling hallucinations later linked to gas leaks, Sunny began writing about ghosts—both literal and metaphorical. The album explores crossing boundaries between worlds, identities, and musical genres, blending blues, punk, folk, and roots with fearless originality. Following the success of Anarchist Gospel (2022), extensive touring, and a deeply immersive demo process, Sunny crafted a bigger, band-driven sound. The result is a raw, incisive, and imaginative record haunted by past selves, lost loved ones, and the ongoing pursuit of artistic freedom.
