James Barker Band

James Barker Band is a Canadian country group formed in 2009 by James Barker and Connor Stephen, later joined by Taylor Abram and Bobby Martin, all from rural communities near Toronto. After years of touring, they won the 2015 Emerging Artist Showcase at Boots and Hearts, earning a deal with Universal Music Canada. Their breakout single “Lawn Chair Lazy” went Platinum, followed by the 2x Platinum hit “Chills.” With multiple No. 1 singles, Gold and Platinum certifications, and major awards, the band remains rooted in friendship, storytelling, and small-town values.
