Scottish composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Liam Shortall, aka corto.alto, has emerged as one of the UK’s most exciting new artists. His debut album Bad With Names was shortlisted for the 2024 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the Scottish Jazz Awards. In 2025, he received Act of the Year at the Jazz FM Awards and UK Independent Breakthrough at the AIM Awards.
