With a name honoring the Cimarrons—Afro-Cubans who resisted slavery—Cimafunk blends explosive funk, powerful showmanship, and cultural legacy into a global phenomenon. A former medical student turned funk visionary, he performs with La Tribu, his nine-piece band from Havana, electrifying audiences worldwide. Known as one of today’s great live performers, Cimafunk has earned multiple Grammy nominations, a Latin Grammy nod for Record of the Year, and made history as the first Cuban-born artist to play Coachella.
