Galvanised by punk and political resistance in the late 70s, Billy Bragg has spent his career championing social justice, activism and empathy. A tireless campaigner, he has played countless benefit shows and curated Glastonbury’s Left Field political stage for over 15 years. Celebrating 40 years as Britain’s most influential campaigning songwriter in 2023, he marked the milestone with the acclaimed box set The Roaring Forty and sold-out shows worldwide. His discography includes 11 solo albums, the Mermaid Avenue collaborations with Wilco, and The Million Things That Never Happened (2021). An accomplished author and award-winning artist, Bragg has received multiple honours, including the Ivors Outstanding Contribution to British Music Award. His legacy continues to resonate through music, literature and political engagement.
