Original Gros Bonnet

Based in Montreal, the alternative hip-hop group Original Gros Bonnet has stood out since its beginnings with refined lyricism and a versatile instrumentation unlike anything else on the Francophone scene. Originally a septet, now a quintet, the group has been performing on stages across Quebec since 2018, earning a reputation through inspired live shows that highlight both the virtuosity of its members and the musical chemistry that binds them.

Their previous album, Tous les jours printemps, took them on tour throughout the province and earned several accolades, including a spot on CBC’s list of the Top 20 Albums of 2020. Now, the group unveils the result of years of work: a three-part project titled Le vide, la peur, l’éclair, where their signature sound shines through songs that reflect artistic maturity and an ever-present drive for experimentation.
