Before forming the popular duo Run The Jewels with El-P, Killer Mike nailed it in his feature on the Outkast song Snappin' & Trappin' (from the album Stankonia in 2000). 2023 marked a crucial stage in his career, as his solo album Michael, a reference to his real name, won three Grammy Awards for an album of songs about a young black man growing up on the west side of Atlanta.
