Salomé Leclerc

A self-taught musician, Salomé Leclerc approaches her songs in a way that is manual and artisanal, like on a work table, using scissors to cut and scotch tape to connect the parcels of ideas on threads of chance, from trial and error to happy accidents. Through these works, she has developed an anthology of alternative folk that is translucent, with contrasting tensions and upbeat rock, all enhanced by detours and unexpected moments. Salomé’s voice is agile, warm and at times mysterious, singing of melancholy, time and the horizon, and always leaving room for light and vulnerability to come through.
