Musical style
Indie rock

She was inspired to learn guitar while listening to Patti Smith, Joan Jett, Lou Reed and David Bowie in her childhood, but Pin & Needles, a female band formed at a music camp, gave Deanna Petcoff the opportunity to find her voice and chart her course in the five years the group performed across Canada. If 2018 marked the end of the band, it was also the beginning of a solo career for the young Toronto artist who already has a few singles to her credit and is working on an album. Between ballads and more rhythmical melodies, her rich indie rock is about the woes of everyday life and hope for better times.
