Formed in the Paris suburbs in 2015, Delgres is the meeting between singer and multi-instrumentalist Pascal Danaë, drummer Baptiste Brondy, and Rafgee, a trumpeter who plays the sousaphone (big double-bass tuba) like no one else ever! After a short three-song EP released in 2016, the trio unpacked their first real business card, Mo Jodi, in 2018. The same year, they won the Charles-Cros Academy award for best blues album and a nomination from Victoires de la Musique. Often sung in Creole, Delgres' Caribbean blues is forged with a unique sound, halfway between the Tuaregs of Tinariwen and the Black Keys.
