The Franklin Electric

Since the release of their debut album This Is How I Let You Down (2014), The Franklin Electric has stood out by transforming experiences into anthems. The Montreal collective led by Jon Matte travels the globe, sometimes as headliners and also supporting artists like Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, Half Moon Run and City and Colour.

Along the way their second album, Blue Ceilings (2017), made a mark and led to a Juno Award nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year. Building on this momentum, The Franklin Electric released a series of EPs, In Your Head (2019) / In Your Heart (2020), which attracted more than 4 million streams for the song In Your Heart. Their EP Never Look Back (2020) was nominated at the ADISQ Gala for Album of the Year – Reinterpretation, which was then followed up by the album This Time I See It (2021).

2022 started to the rhythm of the songs Borderline, Answers, Rabbit Hole, Lesser of the Worst and A Token of Your Purpose, which saw the collective triple its monthly listeners on streaming platforms. The perfect introduction for the album Oh Brother (2023), a new chapter full of vulnerability, with Jon Matte opening up like never before.
