Elisapie

A major artist on the Canadian music scene, this singer-songwriter’s journey is guided by her unconditional attachment to her home territory of Nunavik and the Inuktitut language. Winning a first Juno Award in 2005 with her group Taima, Elisapie went on to pursue a solo career that captures Inuit culture with finesse and balances modern and traditional styles. This sound can be heard on her brilliant album of covers sung in Inuktitut, heartfelt reworkings of classic songs that span from Queen to Metallica, including Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
