Élégie

Formed in the mid-2010s, Élégie is one of Quebec's worst kept secrets. The band led by Lawrence Villeneuve, Alex Corriveau and Maxence Girard has captivated music lovers from its hometown of Quebec City with their irreverent and deceptively confusing attitude, but mostly because of their simply irresistible new punk/post wave songs.

The recipe is simple: melancholic texts that reflect the joys and (especially) the sorrows of an entire generation chasing happiness, catchy melodies that coat the bitterness with a tasty layer of sugar, and killer riffs with frenzied rhythms that make you want to dance. And above all, a bunch of happy guys who don't take themselves too seriously, except when it comes to dominating the entire world. Do not try to resist, let yourself be seduced!
